The Best Weekend Ever!
May 8-10, 2020
The ultimate face-off, FHE vs. FHN….Hawks vs. Huskies….Red vs. Blue. This pinnacle event of our season is hosted by Lake Leelanau Rowing Club and held at the Fountain Point Resort. This is the regatta we row for! We share the entire rowing campground with our biggest rival, Forest Hills Northern High School Crew for a weekend of team bonding activities, beautiful scenery, awesome parent meals, bonfires, hours of practice and a final race on Sunday!
Our FHE Crew is paired up and share about 4 cabins for the boys and 4 cabins for the girls. They enjoy homemade meals provided by our parents in the parent “mess hall.” Coaches and Assistant coaches serve as mentors and chaperones and there is plenty to do and plenty of down time too!
There is nothing like getting up early, grabbing a cup of joe and seeing your kid row in the mist….simply breathtaking!
Parents cooking meals and providing transportation may stay onsite in one large parent cabin (6 rooms) or may choose to stay nearby at the Whaleback Inn in or other lodging of their choice on the Leelanau Penninsula. This is Michigan! Details on lodging and fees coming soon!
Buses leave Friday am and return Sunday night!
